Online Giveaway: Deseret Book’s “Give” T-Shirt!

My t-shirts came and I love ’em. I bought one extra to use as an online giveaway which is great because now they are SOLD OUT in this color! Up for grabs is one “give” t-shirt in charcoal heather gray in an XL size (a trim size XL). I’m going to leave this one open until next Sunday at midnight to try and get more comments/entries than last time but if I don’t, your chances are good to win. This tee is adorable with jeans. Just leave a comment on this post before midnight on Sunday, November 2nd and you’re entered to win. Shipping is on me!

Great Sales at Brocade Home

Love this site. Watch carefully and every cool thing on their sale section gets to eventually be another half off (at least that was the last great sale I saw!) – makes the extra shipping for furniture worth it. I’m not too frilly of a person but I just love, love, love these gray and silver duvet covers. Check out the website here and the design blog here.

The Cutest T-Shirt Ever

I haven’t ordered from Deseret Book in forever. I’m years behind on my EFY cd collection. So what made me place an order this morning? This t-shirt. Adorable. Cute for boys, girls, men, women (yes, they have all those styles). It comes in heather gray and pastel ribbing, too, if you’re so inclined…and it’s half off. About $7 per tee. Now that’s a bargain! If you can’t read the picture, the t-shirt says, “give” — the Little Stream. One of my favorite Primary songs – hooray!

Quilting Blog – The Jolly Jabber

PhotobucketGreat blog. Great sales. Great vintage style fabric collections. What’s not to love? I enjoy buying the fabric, apparently, even more than quilting. Just build the stash, right? The quilt doesn’t magically appear?!?

Serena & Lily – New Blog!

Photobucket

I wanted to write my “how-to” page for the Photoshop silhouettes I made and displayed earlier in the blog but this came into my in-box and thought I’d share for today instead. Look for the photoshop silhouette tutorial tomorrow. Mostly, Bennie is throwing crayons and playdough from his high chair and he needs some actual human interaction (I’ve already put in 6 hours of work today, good thing he slept in ’til 10:30 am!).

Halloween Fun – Spiders & Ghosts!

I love these ghosts. I love these spiders. The ghosts make me sad, though, because several years back we created a set even cuter than these (but same concept) and put them around a tree in my parents’ yard and they were stolen on the first night. So sad! Anyway, if you get these you might also want to get a dog to protect them – they are just that cute. I am a huge fan of the Frontgate catalog but mostly like it for ideas!

Cowboys & Cowgirls – New Dwell Collection

cowboycowgirl.JPG

Love most things Dwell. Dwell for Target, Dwell at Design Public. I love the dots. I love the animals. I love, love, love this cowboy collection…and even more because they have a pink version. Not that I’ll be buying that one for any of my boys, but… Check it out at Design Public.

Shopping Cart Sleeping

HPIM2701.JPG

Guess we were keeping Ben from his nap! My sister, LeAnne, has started calling him the Benjinator and we think it fits…except when he’s sleeping, of course (then they’re perfect little angels, huh!!). I was just lucky to have the camera with me!

Raw Milk from Branched Oak Farm

HPIM2221.JPG

Lovely little farm. I drove quite a ways on dirt roads this morning to outside of Lincoln to find it. Legally they cannot advertise their sale of raw milk in traditional ways but I’m assuming it’s okay to critique the milk we just bought from them on our blog — it’s like drinking the best ice cream you’ve ever had. I have been reading up on milk issues (pro and con) for awhile now and have always wanted to try raw milk. We are loving it. This particular little farm has grass fed jersey cows and the milk is organic and not destined for big milk producers. Very clean, very good milk. If you want more information on raw milk, please visit realmilk.org. Yes, yes, we have read the warnings and studied up on the subject. I certainly wouldn’t get raw milk from a farm producing for a big dairy but I have to say, we absolutely love this milk! I picked up some kefir starter (my kids love this!) and grass fed beef there, too, this morning so I’ll have to let you know how it is later but I’m hoping spectacular.

Cute Fall Porch Decor

HPIM2221.JPG

I like pumpkins on my porch but this is even cuter. Found it here. They have other vegetables with other styles (some on clearance for $4.88 – check out the zucchini dog). Love it. I probably won’t buy any until we’re moved but still wanted to share.

Tree of Life Artwork

I have been intrigued lately with trees and, more specifically, artwork symbolically reminiscent of the Tree of Life. I found this at www.tenthousandvillages.com and have thoroughly enjoyed looking at their website. They seem to have reasonable prices, too. Reminds me of a good friend who purchased her living room furniture because the pillow fabric had a subtle tree of life pattern in the weave. What a nice reminder of scripture stories and imagery to have around your home.

Calling all Crafters – Knitting, Beading Etc.

Book Sale!

If you know me at all, you know I find the BEST SALES online so I just had to share this one! I don’t even do jewelry but there were some gorgeous looking wire wrapped bead things in the lot. If you love any kind of craft-ery you will love this sale. The books are NOT pristine but have a nice discount. If your books look like mine when you’re done with them, the newness will not matter to you, either. I already purchased a few…I can feel the smooth pages in my hands now… If you want to get some for yourselves (or just browse the titles), click on the pic above and enjoy!

Muttropolis – Online Utopia for Dogs

muttropolis

So I was reading Entrepreneur magazine (no worries about my actually achieving anything, I’m so behind it was the Sep ’07 issue) – anyway, I saw this great article about someone who had developed Muttropolis stores and was successful. I just loved the name and had to check it out and share with all my other pooch pals out there.

Hormone Free, Constantly-Hugged Goats

I will admit that I am an organic and Whole Foods junkie. This is a very funny clip from youtube. My favorite part is “Made from the milk of hormone-free, constantly hugged goats.” Blahahahaha – very funny to me! Hope you enjoy it as well.
