So last year I got to meet Amy Bradley at Houston’s Quilt Market 2009 and then I had a giveaway of one of her books. Let’s do it again! This year, I had something a little different in mind: giving away a bag of wool roving in the most delicious colors! I will post the giveaway soon. Quilt market was fun but, since I don’t quilt, I think two years is plenty of industry tradeshow experience for quilting.
Ta, da, da, da…the winner is….Carmel of Mellow is Me. Congratulations, Carmel. Email me your address and I will get your book sent off to you.
On another note, I am super swamped with “real” design work so the blogging will be on hold for a little while. Be patient with me and I will make up for it with super fantastic holiday ideas that I’ve been saving up and will post very soon! Not to pass over Thanksgiving, but I’m in the mood for Christmas!
I love, love, love Amy Bradley’s designs. Partly because she was a graphic designer first. Yes, I’m biased. In honor of meeting her at Quilt Market, I’m putting up one of my purchases – her book pattern called Peek-A-Boo – for a giveaway. Just make a comment on this post before Halloween at midnight and you will be entered to win. If you link back to this giveaway on your blog (I can see your links so no need to tell me), I will automatically enter you twice. I haven’t held a giveaway in awhile since we moved and this is a great way to remember all the Quilt Market fun! Good luck!!! For details on this particular book, which runs $20, check Amy Bradley’s website.
If all of my readers & friends click on the link above (or in my sidebar) to share it or display the widget on their website, I can win a laptop! It’s a Hewlett Packard thing. Check out ways to go green and click on the link to help me win. If I do, I promise to host a super spectacular giveaway as a thank you.
Wow. A really decked out Janome. Talk about bling! Sewing machine bling – who knew?! There’s a fantastic giveaway going on now at The Crafty Chica. To enter the giveaway, send an email to amalec(at)randomhouse(dot)com with Crafty Chica Sweepstakes in the subject line. Information on this giveaway was from CRAFT Magazine.
If you are not familiar with Boden merchandise for your family, be sure to check it out here. I am in love with their design and fabrics. Their children’s clothing is fun – the boys stuff is full of spiders, monsters and soft fabrics – and the adult stuff has such flair. I love their marketing techniques. The catalogs include a running interview of the models with intriguing questions. I hadn’t shopped there for almost a year and they sent me a very funny, personalized letter that had Don and I laughing so hard we vowed to spend the $20 voucher they gave us immediately. Which we did. To pay for a portion of these sunglasses. That make even me look like a movie star so I wanted to keep them. But here you go. My biggest online giveaway yet. Just comment on this post — one comment per person, please — and you will be entered to win. Drawing will be held on December 10th at midnight, CST using random.org. Retail value $60 and they come in the cutest case – perfect for Christmas giving.
My t-shirts came and I love ’em. I bought one extra to use as an online giveaway which is great because now they are SOLD OUT in this color! Up for grabs is one “give” t-shirt in charcoal heather gray in an XL size (a trim size XL). I’m going to leave this one open until next Sunday at midnight to try and get more comments/entries than last time but if I don’t, your chances are good to win. This tee is adorable with jeans. Just leave a comment on this post before midnight on Sunday, November 2nd and you’re entered to win. Shipping is on me!
…Kara, commenter #2, who said, “how cool are you?!! yummy! i need to enter more online giveaway’s…have you won a lot? hey, how’s ebay by the way? i took a break over the summer that is now lasting thru the fall :). i LOVED the cash from ebay, but now that i’m not doing it i love the stress free days as well :). i need to find the strength to re-list all my stuff!!”. Thanks for entering, everybody – there were only 12 entries so your chances were good. I’m still trying to figure out something great to giveaway this week so check back as I’ll have found something good by the end of the week for sure. Kara’s entry was chosen numerically by random from random.org. For those of you who care about such things, comment #7 came in second place – I wish I had a consolation prize (maybe next time)! I hope you enjoy the brownie recipes from the book and, hey, feel free to send me some!
