I enjoyed the commentary here. What do you think? My favorite comment is that the new logo appears to have been formed by the overuse of the liquify filter in Photoshop. Well, it is always easier to criticize…
I don’t quilt. But I sure love lookin’ at ‘em, and so will you. Click on the pic above to link to Moonstitches’ Flickr stream of the Tokyo International Quilt Show. Beautiful.
Beautiful. I’ve always wanted to know how to do this and now there’s a tutorial. Check out the instructions here. Thanks, BurdaStyle!

I can vaguely remember having the time to create such cute things! Check out the Bake It Pretty site here and blog here. Frankly, I’m still making more time for exercise. And it’s difficult to fit in! If I make time to make treats, I’ll just have to make time for more exercise. It’s a vicious cycle.
I have a latex allergy so I will never be doing this but I had to post it for two reasons: 1) It’s really very interesting to see how she glues together the clothing and 2) who knew Latex made your hiney look so good. Well, maybe a cute hiney is a preliminary requirement. But, dang, this looks like something very Hollywood/Catwoman-ish. It’s much cuter than the only other thing I’ve ever seen done with latex: ugly deformed hand chicken puppet balloons that my husband makes out of latex gloves whenever we take our children to the doctor. Anyway, the pic above links to her website about making clothes with latex. At least, I’m assuming it’s a girl…

I emailed these instructions to Cole, my origami expert, hoping to receive something like this for Valentine’s Day. What mother wouldn’t love to display these? Are you reading, Cole???
Ah, easy crochet pattern. Easy to love. Perfect for Valentine’s Day. Thanks, Roxycraft. I haven’t quite figured out what the kids want to do for Valentine’s this year - something homemade. We’re still on the hunt. I just can’t bear to buy those cheap yucky store valentines another year. As soon as I’m feeling better (we’ve been slackers and sick all week long), this is sure to get done - mostly because Valentine’s class parties are next week.
I’d never heard of Egg Press before but so glad I ran across them! Cute cards. They also offer this adorable monkey. Check them out here.
He’s so darn cute. Just wanted to share something simple since I’m really under the weather today. That’s what I get for bragging that we just hadn’t got sick like everybody else around us. I should know better by now. Plus, I’m thinking it’s time for a giveaway - gotta think up something good to share!

We had to get away. From the constant weekend cleaning for open houses and showings. So, we thought we’d be proactive and go stay with my parents for the weekend and just hang out. We had a lot of fun! Don, Cole, Gabe and I tried rollerblading for the first time. We ate glorious food cooked by somebody else. I love having my Mom around - I will miss her so much when we move - she is fun to talk to. My Dad watches Western movies all the time. One of the best things I like about my parents is that I know they both are always there for me. They’re the kind of parents who would respond if I murdered somebody like this, “Well, she must have just had a bad day!” Okay, so they wouldn’t justify murder but they would find SOME way to be my advocate. They are about as Christ-like as parents get and I’m so glad they’re mine.
